Cruising The Backwaters Of Kerala In A Rice Boat – My Latest Let’s Travel Magazine Article, South India

The new issue of New Zealand’s premier travel magazine Let’s Travel includes an article of mine about an Intrepid Travel tour I did featuring India’s famous Kerala backwaters. Click here to link to Let’s Travel’s website, or find them on Facebook at The article is pay-walled so do subscribe or download the digital version.

To give you a taster of the article and why Kerala is regarded as one of the greenest and prettiest states in India, here are 20 of my favourite photos from the trip. The article also details the rice boats that have been turned into floating boutique hotels, the beaches of Kerala, the state capital Trivandrum and why this is a corner of India as justifiably proud of its social record as its beauty.

Special thanks to Intrepid Travel who hosted me on a 16 day tour, as well as to Flight Centre and Student Flights for getting me there. And keep an eye out for a trio of New Zealand Herald articles all about this South India adventure soon too.
